Expect lush instrumentation packed with lyrical prowess when the band takes the stage to perform a mix of tunes from their debut EP “Shake the Dust” along with lots of new material primed for their first, full-length LP due out late this year.

BIO

Indie folk rock outfit Shake the Dust brings a musical kinship deeply rooted in the Carolinas – most members have been performing solo or in bands throughout the local region since the early 90s. Frontman Phil Lomac’s three solo records have garnered critical acclaim for their mix of alt-rock and roots music with his most recent solo release, 2017’s Northern Cities, Southern Stars, playing like a post-punk update of Bare Trees-era Fleetwood Mac.

The band’s debut EP pays homage to throwback 70s FM country rock with its own modern edge. But for marketing purposes, the band’s pensive, hand-crafted style is hard to pin down drawing on an array of music and artists — everything from ’80s new wave and the alt-country rock of Wilco to the ’70s Laurel Canyon sound exemplified by singer-songwriters like Neil Young, Jackson Browne and Tom Petty.
