“Her Legacy” is a journey dedicated to the contributions of women in West African Diasporic dance and music. Each piece either honors the female spirit and/or is danced in honor of specific women including the late Mama Kadiatou Conte and the late Dr. Faith Troupe.
SHARING THE HEART OF AFRICA TO EVERYONE, SHAE Movement African Arts’ mission is to share and celebrate West African dance, drum, song and energy with local, national, and international communities!
Through dance and drum, we bring the rich heritage of African performance to children, teens, adults, and seniors of all levels and abilities. Whenever possible, we nurture and expand contacts between our African dance community in Charlotte, NC and other enthusiasts of African dance across the world.
