OBRA COLLECTIVE will be leading a mixed media art activity in which participants will make mini canvas magnets using paint markers and collage materials.
IRLANDA RUIZ of Obra Collective will read two bilingual poems from her book, “Talkative Brushstrokes” (Pinceladas Parlantes). “Talkative Brushstrokes”: Where poetry dances, where languages embrace, and where dreams find voice. Don’t miss this performance—it’s more than words; it’s life painted in ink.
OBRA (Observe, Bridge, Respond, Art) Collective is an interdisciplinary Latinx arts group based in Charlotte, North Carolina. We create immigrant and Latinx affirming art in order to raise awareness and to celebrate our community.
