What if your healing journey smelled like lavender, tasted like honey, and bloomed from sacred soil? “In Fields Where We Bloom” is an immersive solo performance that transforms Black women’s stories into a lush botanical garden where poetry, movement, and actual scents invite you into an intimate exploration of resilience, ancestral wisdom, and the power we cultivate when we choose to bloom. From Billie Holiday’s haunting “Strange Fruit” to the sweetness of honeysuckle rose, this sensory journey celebrates how we transform pain into beauty and hostile ground into fields of liberation and joy.
My work lives at the intersection of performance, spirituality, and healing in which storytelling becomes ritual, the stage becomes sacred ground, and theatre becomes a pathway home to ourselves. As founder of Stage and Spirit, I create immersive theatrical experiences that bridge individual transformation with collective restoration, honoring both our wounds and our resilience while celebrating our capacity for healing and joy. My artistic vision has evolved from examining trauma to cultivating works that transform pain into purpose, restrictions into artistry, and challenging soil into blooming fields of possibility. Through performance as spiritual practice, I invite audiences to remember their sacred worth and innate power to alchemize suffering into wisdom, creating brave spaces where healing happens, voices rise, and legacy is reclaimed.
