BOOM Partner:

Melanotion “BOOM Talks”

BOOM Talks presented by Melanotion is a signature panel series, created for BOOM Charlotte 2025, that explores the intersection of art, memory, legacy, and innovation. Curated by Melanotion, these three dynamic conversations bring together artists, curators, genealogists, architects, youth, and digital creators to examine how art shapes identity, builds community, and expands boundaries. Each activation pairs thought-provoking dialogue with interactive activations—ranging from live street art to AR/VR experiences—offering an immersive space for reflection and engagement.

By broadening the definition of art and amplifying underrepresented voices, BOOM Talks fosters cultural preservation, inclusion, and transformative conversations that resonate beyond the festival.

All Activations are at the BOOM Canvas Hall (8929 J M Keynes Dr., Ste 390). Sign up for a session here: Pre-Registration Link.

About the Partner

Melanotion is more than a platform—it is a movement dedicated to safeguarding the stories, wisdom, and lived experiences of Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities.

Where museums archive history on a broad scale and genealogy tools trace lineage, we focus on the narratives in between—the lived experiences, lessons, and voices that shape identity across generations. Through memory work, archival storytelling, and immersive activations, we ensure that both personal and collective histories are intentionally documented, honored, and preserved.

We believe that legacy is not just about looking back—it’s about ensuring that the past remains present, guiding us into the future.
