Lundgren Street Circus 
Unicorns, mermaids vampires… we all love fantasy creatures, but they were born long ago, in cultures far away. What if a new mythos was born right here in modern-day Charlotte? “Mythical Charlotte” uses costuming, makeup, and prosthetics to bring to life a legendary hero, a sassy Southern 6-limbed lady and other mythical creatures inspired by things we love and love to hate about the Queen City. In addition to these flesh-and-blood encounters, you’ll have the chance to influence the future of Mythical Charlotte with interactive feedback boards and artist sketches of Queen City creatures awaiting your partnership to be born.
During 2017-18, Lundgren Street Circus brought six new works to the streets of Charlotte and Spartanburg, SC: “Snow Ladies,” “Bubble Lady,” “Marching Band,” “Something Tropical,” “Grow” and “Sidewalk Karaoke.” Joining Lundgren Street Circus (LSC) for the debut of “Mythical Charlotte” are painter Sharon Dowell and multidisciplinary artist Cedric Maurice.
