Charlotte NC. We work from home (or a favorite coffee shop) and meet weekly on Thursdays from 1-3pm in Plaza Midwood. Locations vary.
A brief description of your company:
QueOS is a non-profit changing the way art is created and shared in Charlotte, primarily though the BOOM Festival and it’s extensions throughout the year. BOOM is a three day explosion of various contemporary art forms in Plaza Midwood each April. Each year’s festival is the culmination of a year-round movement connecting diverse artists to one another and to their community in new and exciting ways.
Intern duties and responsibilities
The BOOM intern will support staff across multiple departments, including but not limited to: assisting with support documents for grant applications and final reports, connecting with and organizing artist information and meeting artists needs, assisting with social media, organizing spreadsheets and tasks, contributing ideas and solutions to problems, attending weekly meetings (Thursdays from 1-3pm) and scheduled events. We are a small organization that does a lot of important work and we look forward to sharing our knowledge, expertise and workload with an amazing intern.

This internship will start in mid-October and last through mid-May. Twelve hours of work a week are expected in the weeks before and after the festival. Should expect to be present for most of the festival April 17-19th 2020. Additional hours may be required in the weeks immediately preceding the festival. Work hours can be done throughout the week and can fit easily into many schedules. Must be available for weekly meetings on Thursdays from 1-3pm.

BOOM festival is currently planning our three day festival for April 2020 and is excited to launch a social media campaign that is as engaging, dynamic and innovative as the festival.
The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team. We are very excited to share this launch with an intern hoping to extend their present knowledge and gain extensive online experience.
