Sinergismo’s Choosing Ceremony happens every 23rd waning crescent moon—because, of course, that’s the only logical time for a ritual of great (and slightly bizarre) importance. Join the legendary Gismo re-enactors as they channel the spirits of their eccentric ancestors, performing a sacred tradition that’s equal parts mysterious and mesmerizing. Who will be chosen? What will be chosen?
Sinergismo is a performance art ensemble of professional dancers, visual artists, poets and musicians who come together to create a world of humor, wonder and inspiration. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and traveling throughout the Southeast, they blend movement, words, sound and imagery into unforgettable performances that highlight absurdity and imagination.
