Thousands of species of plant and animal life call Charlotte’s humid subtropical environment home. Subtropic CLT will share contemporary ballet shorts inspired by a select few of these life forms.
Phillip McRorie is a North Carolina based dance educator and artist living in the Charlotte-metro area instructing dancers in release-based modern techniques, ballet, and choreographic processes, as well as generating new works as an independent artist and guest choreographer. He has presented choreography with Carolina Aerial and Dance Exchange, Shadows Showcase by Bloom, Loose Leaves Legacy, the Asheville Ballet, Carolina Muse Literary and Arts Magazine, and Appalachian State University. Phillip’s work is inspired by memories, nature, and what it ~feels~ like to move through life.
