“Mothering & Mourning:” Dance

An experimental dance performance, dedicated to the absurdity of caregiving and the mother-like folks unfazed by the mess. Sandwiched between caring for aging parents and young children; harvesting eggs due to a cancer diagnosis; and birthing creative ideas without an epidural. Mothering and Mourning – aren’t we all?

BIO

Megan Flynn (Cincinnati, OH) & Teresa VanDenend Sorge (Cincinnati, OH) are professional dance artists, choreographers, educators, and long-time collaborators who first started working together in Philadelphia in 2013. They’ll be joined by: Sarah C. Reid (Charlotte, NC); Nadia Ureña (Philadelphia, PA); Gabriel Martinez Rubio (Cincinnati, OH); and Lindsay Helock (Fort Wright, KY).
