DJ Sir Charles 
“From 26 To QC” is an audio depiction of the life and times of DJ Sir Charles. Through speakers, the artist narrates his journey from Fayetteville to Charlotte, North Carolina: two cities a mere 140 miles apart, but drastically different in culture. Sir Charles paints a picture with songs that inspired him along the way: the Cool Carolina Sound, rock & roll, hip-hop, soul, R&B, Piedmont blues, and gospel.
Sir Charles has an enormous digital library of more than 35,000 songs, edits, and albums. Family friends say his love of music showed early. As a toddler, he performed the entire movie of “Purple Rain” in the living room, using his Fisher-Price bike, dad’s golf clubs, and a vintage coffee table to set the Twin City scene and 5th Avenue stage. He now uses his collection of tunes to curate sonically soothing sets at intimate patio gatherings, weddings, clubs, residential parties, in-store appearances, sporting events, and vast corporate productions.
