ShaLeigh Dance Works, under the artistic leadership of ShaLeigh Comerford, is a dance theatre company dedicated to creating socially conscious works.
Since receiving a standing ovation at their NYC premiere, ShaLeigh Dance Works quickly became recognized as an emerging company. Their success has taken them from performances and residencies in New York City to Germany, England, Israel and Japan. Since landing in North Carolina, they have celebrated touring with the North Carolina Dance Festival, performing at the prestigious American Dance Festival, and presenting two evening length works.
Comerford is a graduate of Hollins University with a Master’s degree in Visual and Performing Arts. She is a showcased artist of DIDA’s 2014-15 & 2017-18 Season, and was an awarded winner in the 2013 Tokyo Experimental Festival of Sound, Art & Performance.
