I am a Latina experimental artist who focuses on filmmaking. I adore using bright lighting to give depth to the emotions I want to portray. The lighting in my films is generally inspired by chiaroscuro but with bright colors. The emergence of my passion for filmmaking started in high school through a local Charlotte program called Studio 345, yet I like to think that I’ve always had an eye for visually appealing storytelling and the escapism often felt while watching a film. My goal as an artist is to make art that can help ease the mind from daily life if even for a minute or two. Watching films has always been my way of taking a breather and escaping from the hardships I’ve faced, and creating films has become a more exhilarating form of therapy. It gives me an outlet to express anything I please, whether it is extremely personal or nonsensical.
