Ekphrasis: Writing Your Way into a Photograph

Ekphrasis: Writing Your Way into a Photograph

Co-hosted by Charlotte Lit and The Light Factory.

Poems that describe or speak directly to a work of visual art are called Ekphrastic.

Join Midwood International and Cultural Center residents Charlotte Lit and The Light Factory for an all-ages, drop-in workshop that allows you to explore photographic art through the art of poetry.

In this open studio-style workshop, Charlotte Lit and The Light Factory staff will provide the materials, instruction, and inspiration necessary to create your own poetic response to one (or all!) of the photographs featured in The Light Factory’s 2017 Annuale exhibit.

No poetry or photography experience necessary.

Happening at: The Light Factory Gallery
(Located beside the International House at the Midwood International and Cultural Center)
Show Time:
Saturday, April 29
12:00 – 3:00 pm
Admission is FREE
