Art Ndeko Street Art & Pop-Up Performances

Art, music and fun for all ages! On corner lots and unused spaces in Plaza Midwood you’ll encounter site-specific artwork and pop-up performances throughout the weekend. These performances and artwork are created by a variety of artists and curated by Eric Ndelo, a Charlotte based digital media/screen print artist.

ARTIST: Wingspan performing “Mechanics”

LOCATION: Pizza Peel
“Mechanics” is made from the idea of a broken system in the community; a system that sort of works, but doesn’t work as smoothly or as connected as it could. This piece will have distinct interactions with the audience and costuming. Learn more here »

Kiser is a fine artist and graphic designer who’s comfortable in a broad range of media, from studio art, to books, branding, UI design, motion graphics and more — all distinguished by his ability to distill ideas to a striking, almost iconic image that is often dense and multilayered. Kiser produced the promotional art for this year’s BOOM festival, which can be seen on the BOOM program, posters, website and other materials.
